Step 1 / 3

Take a front selfie

Look straight into the camera with your whole head in the frame, hair as you usually wear it, no hat. Even lighting works best.

Your photos are processed securely and saved in your private Hat Suite until you delete them. Never shared, never used for training.

A hat is the one accessory you cannot judge from a product photo. The same fedora that looks sharp on the model can sit too high on a long face or swamp a small one, and a brim that flatters from the front can look odd in profile. Upload a clear photo of your face, choose a hat from the gallery — or upload a photo of any hat you have seen — and the AI shows you wearing it, from the front, the side and the back.

The gallery covers the hats people actually search for: baseball caps, bucket hats, beanies, fedoras, cowboy hats, trucker hats, Panama hats and trilbies, plus newsboy and flat caps, the pork pie and the bowler, the straw boater, and the beret, cloche and floppy sun hat. If the one you want is not there, a screenshot from a shop or a photo from the street works as the reference.

You need a free account to see your result, and your first try-on is on us. Further looks run on credits you buy once — there is no subscription and the credits do not expire. Your selfie stays in your private Hat Suite until you delete it, so trying the next hat takes one tap.

FAQ

How does the virtual hat try-on work?

You upload a front-facing selfie (and optionally a second one at about 45 degrees), pick a hat or upload a photo of one, and the AI renders a new image of you wearing it, from four angles. It redraws the picture rather than pasting a hat graphic on top, so the brim sits on your head with real shadows.

Is it free?

Your first try-on is free after you create a free account; it asks for no payment details. More looks run on credits you buy once, with no subscription. Every try-on also comes with one free re-roll if you want a second take.

What photo works best?

A front-facing photo with your whole head in the frame, no hat, in even light. Wear your hair the way you usually would under a hat. The optional 45-degree photo helps the AI get the depth of your head right, which is what decides how a crown sits.

Can I try on a hat I saw in a shop?

Yes. Upload a photo of it instead of picking from the gallery — a product shot or a picture of someone wearing it both work. The AI uses only the hat from that photo, never the other person's face.

Will the hat fit my head in real life?

The try-on shows the style on you, not the size. Measure your head circumference just above the ears and look it up in our hat size calculator, or the maker's own size chart, before you buy.
